A lot of great movies came out in 2013, so I can definitely say it was a good year for the film industry. Some of the movies anticipated by the people are Furious 6, Thor: The Dark World, Les Miserables and so on.
Here are some of the movies for the first half of the year that will appear on the big screen. The dates of the showing may still change, but I hope this list helps you in planning out your trip to the theater this year.

One of the anticipated movies is Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. Like it’s other Paranormal Activity franchise, the movie has a thriller/horror theme that will clearly send shivers down your spine.

The Legend of Hercules is about a Greek hero, the son of God Zeus, but was exiled because of forbidden love. He now needs to fight his way back to his rightful kingdom using his formidable power.

The Adventurer: The Curse of the Midas Box is about a 17 year old boy who’s parents vanished and his younger brother is kidnapped. In the realm of child-kidnapping monsters, he stumbled upon the Midas Box and it’s secrets.

The Nut Job is an animated film about a squirrel who’s outlawed from the park his park and forced to live in the big city. Luckily he tumble on the thing that can save him and the entire park community.

The movie Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is about a CIA agent, who uncovers a Russian plot for the US economy to plunge with a terrorist attack.

I, Frankenstein is the first action/sci-fi movie of 2014. Frankenstein finds himself caught in a war between two immortal clans. Although it seems impossible, he will risk everything to save the human race.

That Awkward Moment is about three Best Friends who finds themselves thinking about what to do with their dating relationship. This comedy/romance film will surely put a smile on your face, and some butterflies in your tummy.

When a cop got critically injured in a assignment. The multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees this as an opportunity to create a part-man, part-robot police officer.

Now 3 Days to Kill is an action movie about a secret agent who got sick. He wants to reconnect to his daughter but because of his sickness he needs to buy back his own life. He needs to do one final job, to kill in 3 days, in exchange for a cure.

Son of God is a story about the life of Jesus, from birth, crucifixion and resurrection.

When the Persians advances their assault on Greece, a new hero arises. General Themistocles is leading the Greeks in an all out war against the mortal-gos Xerxes. Personally, 300: Rise of an Empire, is a movie that I can’t wait to see.

Need for Speed is based on the Famous Video Game. The story is about a street racer who was framed by a wealthy businessman and was put to jail. Straight from prison he now joins a country race event with revenge in mind.

Another Biblical Character emerges in the form of Noah. The movie is about his story, from the dreams and prophecy of God through his dreams tot he great flood that destroys the human race.

Winter Soldier is the 2nd installment of the Captain America Movie. It’s packed with action and fighting scenes just like the previous film. Both comic book and non-comic book fan will enjoy watching as Captain America battles the Winter Soldier from Russia.

After finding out that there might be a whole flock of Blu and Jewel’s species, they set out an adventure to the Amazon rainforest to find others. For Blu it’s literally a jungle out there, especially after meeting his Father-in-law.

When a scientist is shot and was about to die his wife decided to download his mind to a computer. Making him very powerful and soon, unstoppable. Transcendence is a film that revolves around Artificial Intelligence, evolving and taking over everything.

Godzilla is giant radioactive monster, appears to bring havoc to the human race. This Action/Adventure movie will surely entertain kids and adults alike.

X-Men: Days of the Future Past is a movie directed by Bryan Singer. Wolverine was sent by the X-Men into the past to change history and prevent an event that will doom both humans and mutants in the future.

Maleficent is another movie that I am dying to see this year. It’s about the story of sleeping beauty, the only difference is, it’s shown through Maleficent’s eyes and what drove her to curse Aurora.

Now Edge of Tomorrow is a sci-fi/action movie that surprised me. I wasn’t expecting much but after watching the trailer I’m sure I will watch this when it comes out. The movie is about an alien race invading Earth and a soldier caught in a time loop, reliving his last day in battle.

22 Jump Street is certainly a comedy/action film and a sequel to 21 Jump Street movie. After going through high school twice, Schmidt and Jenko go in deep undercover in a local college. Their adventure and misadventures will surely make you laugh.

How to Train your Dragon 2 is an animated movie about a viking and his dragon. After uniting the dragons and the vikings, Hiccup and Toothless now needs to stand up to what they believe and protect the future both for humans and dragons.

The Transformers series continues with this fourth movie. A mechanic and his daughter discovers the existence of Autobots and Decepticons. Which certainly puts them under the governments radar.
